WELCOME FAMILIES TO THE GIVEAWAY
BEFORE ARRIVAL AT EVENT
Please review these essential steps at home to ensure a warm, smooth, and fun experience for your family before arriving at 365 West Broadway on Thursday, October 22, 2026 (4 pm – 7 pm):
Please Be Patient & Kind
Wonderful local volunteers and team members are powering our giveaway and working hard to serve 200 neighborhood families safely and quickly. We appreciate your patience, smiles, and kindness in line!
Registered Kids & Teens Only (No Walk-Ins)
All kit materials are strictly accounted for based on our pre-registration records. No walk-ins or unregistered additional children. Only children and teenagers listed on your official registration form will receive a green ticket for a pumpkin tote package.
Kids & Teens Requirement
Registered children and teenagers must be physically present with you in line. Bags cannot be handed over to parents or guardians alone. Please ensure your registered kids/teens are ready before leaving the house so they can claim their green ticket at the check-in table!
Casual & Low-Key Event (Costumes Optional)
Costumes are not required! This is a simple, low-key giveaway event. Children are welcome to dress up if they’d like, but coming in everyday, comfortable warm clothes is completely fine.
Shifting Weather Warning (Dress Warmly!)
Because our entire giveaway queue is outside on the sidewalk, please dress warmly. New England autumn evenings drop quickly after sunset. Layer up in coats, thick sweaters, thermals, hats, and gloves so you stay comfortable in line!
Battery & Tech Check
Make sure your smartphone is fully charged before you leave.
Pull Up Your E-Ticket or Order Confirmation Email (Speeds Up Check-In!)
Having your E-Ticket (QR code) loaded on your smartphone screen will help our check-in line move much faster for everyone! Please open your confirmation email or ticket while on home Wi-Fi, so it’s ready.
- Cannot find your E-Ticket? Simply bring and open the original order confirmation email you received when you placed your ticket order!
- Can’t find either, or your phone died? Don’t worry—our team members can easily look up your registration manually at the check-in table!
- Important Name/Email Verification: To match your registration smoothly and avoid any confusion, parents or guardians looking up a registration must provide our check-in team with the exact primary name and/or exact email address used on the original submitted order form.

ONCE YOU ARRIVE: THE 4 QUICK STEPS
Please follow these 4 quick steps to keep our neighborhood line moving safely and smoothly:
Step 1: Form the Line Along the Curb
Line up along the street curb, parallel to parked cars, keeping the main sidewalk walkway completely open for neighborhood pedestrians. Stay tightly behind our green boundary cones and keep all building doorways, storefront entrances, and mailboxes entirely clear at all times!

Step 2: Turn Screen Brightness to 100%
Crank your smartphone screen brightness to 100% as you approach the front check-in table so our digital scanners can read your E-Ticket (QR code) instantly. Having your QR code ready helps the line move quickly for everyone! If you cannot find your E-Ticket or original confirmation email, or if your phone dies, our team will step you aside to look up your registration manually on our master list so you can get your kit without delaying the line.
Step 3: Bring the Kids
Registered children and teenagers must be physically present in line with you to receive their green ticket and claim their pumpkin tote package.
Step 4: Snap, Share, & Meet the Mascots!
We want to see your young artists’ masterpieces! Please feel free to take photos with the Halloween decorations we’ll have set up outside the studio. Feel free to send your photos directly to our Instagram (@microplantstudio) and Facebook (@microplantstudio) accounts so we can feature your family on our community page and on our website for next year’s event!

5 Easy Tips for Painting Your Masterpiece!
Wash & Dry First
Wipe your pumpkin down with a damp cloth and let it dry completely before painting. Removing dirt ensures your acrylic paint sticks perfectly and stays smooth.
Sketch Your Design
Use a pencil, washable marker, or even a piece of chalk to lightly draw your face or pattern onto the pumpkin skin before opening your paint pots.
Paint in Layers
Use a large brush for big background patches and a tiny brush for details like eyes and teeth. Let the first color layer dry before adding a new color on top to keep them from smudging.
Use Your Stickers Last
Make sure your paint is 100% dry before pressing your spooky Halloween stickers onto the pumpkin surface. This guarantees they stay glued tight and won’t slide off.
Seal It (Optional)
If you want to display your pumpkin outside on your front porch or steps, ask an adult to help you apply a quick layer of clear craft sealer or hairspray to protect your art from the autumn rain!
