Founded in 2017 by Julio Cesar Roman, Micro Plant Studio is a luxe botanical boutique expanding across Boston and Cambridge. Position Summary & Schedule

Status: Part-Time (PT) paths available. Reports directly to Julio, Business Owner.

Compensation: (Depending on experience).

Our Spaces: Candidates should have the flexibility to happily support and work shifts at both our Boston and Cambridge studio locations.

Nurturing Our Schedule: True collaboration requires flexibility. Days and hours vary by season, including opening and closing responsibilities.

Weekend Shifts: Because weekends are when our community gathers most, weekend availability is a firm requirement for this role.

Holiday Rushes: Our most meaningful periods are also our busiest. Full availability is required during peak industry holiday weeks (including Valentine’s Day week, Mother’s Day week, and the December holiday season), during which we pause time-off requests. We look for team members who can gracefully accelerate their pace, remaining calm, accurate, and focused during high-volume midday rushes.
Essential Functions (Your Daily Practice)

Guest & Client Care: Deliver personalized, boutique-quality customer service with an exceptionally friendly, community-minded approach. We honor and welcome guests from all diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, sharing intuitive care knowledge for both fresh-cut flowers and living plants.

Studio Harmony: Move mindfully through opening and closing procedures. Maintain meticulous studio cleanliness, organization, and a beautiful visual presentation across both locations.

Inventory & Merchandising: Coordinate seamlessly with the owner to receive, unload, and organize new product arrivals. Ensure merchandise is beautifully labeled and that our indoor and outdoor plants are consistently watered and cared for.

Design & Assembly Support: Learn to precisely replicate the studio’s signature floral arrangements and plant styling to keep our brand voice consistent. Prepare our branded packaging—tissue, ribbons, and bags—with an eye for refined detail.
What We Look For (Qualifications)

Heart-centered Customer Service: A naturally warm, welcoming personality that puts diverse clients at ease.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a retail or customer-facing environment is preferred. Personal or professional experience with plants, gardening, or floral design is a plus but not required.

Skills: Highly organized with a natural ability to prioritize tasks with ease. Possess an intuitive eye for floral design, plant styling, balance, and detail. Comfort with daily tech tools (email, text, and point-of-sale systems) is required.

Language: Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is deeply valued and highly preferred.

Logistics: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are preferred to support operations between our locations.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in active retail studio environments (both indoors and outdoors, depending on the season). Solid black attire is required to maintain our sleek, professional studio aesthetic. This role is active and requires standing and moving for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting inventory. Daily tasks require fine hand dexterity to cut stems, wrap arrangements, pot plants, and tie our signature branded packaging.
